Essential oils and all the plant based oils we use to craft our products have many healing qualities that nourish skin instead of stripping moisture. The result is a bar of soap that is gentle not harsh. From lemongrass to lavender, you can be assured that all of our fragrances come from naturally derived sources. Here at Fleur de Lis Soap Company we strive to add new ingredients that nourish and moisturize skin such as coconut, olive, palm, sunflower, sweet almond, pumpkin seed, jojoba oils, cocoa butter and much more.
A lot can be lost in the mass production of skin care products. That is why we produce our bars in small batches. Smaller batches result hard long lasting bars that are gentle on skin. In fact we are so confident in our natural skin care products that they come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not absolutely in love with a product we will exchange it for a different one or give you a full refund. We are a proud Canadian company and make every effort possible to source our raw ingredients from Canadian suppliers.
Our customers are looking for an alternative to chemical laden skin care products. We are constantly creating new all natural essential oil blends to scent our bars. We currently carry a line of gorgeous artisan bar soaps and are working on adding new products to our line up. The new products will include lip balm, lotion bars and natural liquid soaps in 2019. We believe in zero waste production. This means we donate our end bars that cannot be sold. We also recycle to reduce our footprint on the planet.
Fleur de Lis Soap Company was started in 2009 after my father Gerard Raymond Bouchard passed away in the spring of 2008. My dear sweet father always encouraged me to follow my dreams, persue my passions and to just do life my way. My father (Pops as we called him) was born in the beautiful province of Quebec, Canada and moved to Alberta, Canada with his family as a young child never to return to the province in which he was born. Although I have never been to Quebec both my parents are french canadian and french is my first language therefore I have very strong french canadian roots. This is the reason my company is called Fleur de Lis Soap Company. The Fleur de Lis as many of you know is the provincial emblem of Quebec and is our company logo. Traditionally the Fleur de Lis has been used to represent french royalty, signafying perfection, light and life. Therefore Fleur de Lis Soap Company was born and was named in my dear father's memory to honour him and my french heritage and roots.
Fleur de Lis Soap Co. is a small family run company. I am Michelle Steinke the founder and soaperie production manager. I create and craft all the soaps and products in our line of all natural artisan bar soap and skincare. Shane Steinke is my amazing husband and is the technical support so to speak in the background. Shane crafts most of our soap molds, extraction systems, displays and most recently has built our new mobile soaperie workshop!
Curtis Steinke, our son is our Sales/Marketing and Information Technolgy person. Without Curtis this website and most of the content would not exist. Curtis shines in marketing and sales and just plain getting our product and name out there:) We are truly blessed and grateful to have such a wonderful son who is such an awesome support on this journey we are on. We look forward to seeing and experiencing what this next chapter of our lives will hold.
We are all super exicited to bring our products forward onto the market place to improve the quality of skin care for those who are looking for an alternative to chemical based body washes and harsh soaps that dry and harm your skin. We encourage you to message us and let us know how your experience was using our products. We would love to hear from you.
Peace, Love and Light.
